Gold Leaf and Carbon Pencil on Watercolor Paper
This drawing took me much longer to complete than anticipated. The paper I was using happened to be a rougher version of Hot Pressed than normal. A great deal of time was spent filling in all of the tiny holes all over the drawing. It created a nice effect in many places to have the rougher paper showing through, but it took so long that next time I'll take better care to choose smoother paper in the art store.

Great subject matter. Really like the shading you have done. You have a lot of great stuff, altho I do prefer those that are more "fantasy" related, like this drawing.
