Artist's Comments

Here is the latest project that I finished. It's a copy of a Charles Bargue from "The Drawing Course". It took me about two months to complete, three if you count winter break in between quarters. I still could work another few weeks on this. I finally decided it was worth being finished by realizing that it is just a copy of someone else's work.

I am currently starting my next project of drawing a plaster cast of an ear. I'll probably try and post some progression pictures along the way.

When I get a chance to take pictures of this in better lighting I will repost a nicer looking version of this drawing.

You hate people!!!
But I love gatherings, isn't it ironic?
Speaking of gatherings, come gather by my gallery, why don't you? :gallery:
We'll have ever so much fun.:nerd:
This is a great peice. I love the forms and values. I only wish the background played into the great values and shapes of the statue. Its quite lovely though

Let the strands of creation capture you,
see the splendor of that which is real,
but still be memorized by the possibility,
Let love, frustration, and sadness fill you,
and take you away on a journey
yeah, I wish he used backgrounds as well. I won't skip out on the background in my next piece.
a damn good study, nice contrast and modeling.
